| | Guest | The Water at WDW We going to the world the week of Aug 18. The last time I tasted the water
there (Aug 1999) the water wasn't drinkable.
I have two Brita sports bottles and have just found out that they no longer
sell then anymore.
So how is the water these days?

I've never minded it. But if you'd like to filter the water, I'll
support you on that. Brita used to have some competitors. I'd
have to go look at the local sports stores before I could tell you
what's on the market now. I know yesterday I saw some filters
more fancy and expensive than you probably want. I wasn't shopping
for that at the time, so didn't pay attention to what they had at
the simpler end of that market.

The water is drinkable, but it has a strong sulfur flavor, same as
always. Disney still gets its water from Florida and vast stretches of
Florida have water that runs through sulfur springs, so that's why it
tastes bad. The water is perfectly safe, just not enjoyable. I drank
quite a bit of it when I was in WDW last May and I am still hear to tell
about it. | |

We don't like to drink the water either so we have bottled water shipped
from Staples. Others use Garden Grocer in Orlando. Another idea is to
flavor the Florida water with singles of lemonaide, kook-aid, or iced tea.

| | Guest | The Water at WDW Since we are taking the Autotrain getting bottled water isn't going to
be a problem. The issue is carrying at least 2 liters per person (4
adults) per day.
Works out to over 16 lbs of water which of course we would freeze the
night before which then somehow gets even heavier. I know this
violates the law of conservation of mass/matter, but it just does. ;-)

Don't care where Dasani comes from... We like it. Most other bottled
waters - eh, not so much. We get a case of Dasani & then buy what we
call "drink sticks" (single serving packets of crystal light or such)
-- refill the Dasani bottles w/ water from water fountains & add a
stick. Works great. Did discover that Wall-E prefers NON-RED drink
sticks b/c of possible dripping from the bottles (that little ring
that stays on when you take off cap, water gets under it and can drip
down your chin :P)

Fuji Water. Doesn't need adulteration to taste great.

Yep--That's why most Big Water advertising has moved away from mountain
scenery, and more toward "We filter only the *purest*..."
(After all, since we now know that's what they do anyway, why not brag
about it?)
> What is Evian spelled backwards?
....HEY! ;P
Although it could actually be a strategic misspelling of "Avian", to
clue you in that it's really duck sweat.

But not the disclaimer, until they were forced to do so (along with
almost everyone else) by the FTC. Ozarka does, in fact, use a single
spring fed source, as does water from someone in California. And, of
course, Perrier. | |
