PLeasure Island Kaput!

By September 28, 2008, all of the nightclubs on Pleasure Island will
close. It will be last call for the last time at 8 Trax, The
Adventurer's Club, Mannequins� Dance Palace, BET Sound-Stage� Club,
Motion and The Comedy Warehouse. For more information, please visit our

I can see the Dance Clubs going by the way side but the Comedy
Warehouse and The Adventurer's Club that is a disappointment.

The one thing we really enjoyed at PI way back when was the West End
Stage. Anyone remember Frankie and the West End Boys? They were
really super. Sounds like they may try to reintroduce that type of
venue again though. I would welcome that. The clubs, not so much.
It seemed to be more for teens and maybe younger locals but not
vacationers. Never did CC or AC so can't speak to that. There was
really nothing to drag us out to PI at night to be honest. I'm kind
of looking forward to see what will be there. Maybe it will be a nice
alternative to sit down meals that are in short supply in the parks.
