| | Guest | PRFQ Resort Opinions Hi all. We normally stay at POR but just DH and myself are going this
trip. Wooo Hooo!
I was thinking we'd like to stay at a different resort and looked into
YC/BC (274 p/n), POFQ (144 p/n) and the Poly (303 p/n). I just
can't seem to beat the price at POR. I'm thinking maybe we'll
switch to PRFQ since we've never stayed there.
Does anyone have a building there that is recommended? Hints?
Advice? We're renting a car so transportation isn't an issue.

Anything along the riverside (1, 2, 5) has a nice Water or Garden view,
although it's not always necessary to specify.

Then you'll miss out on probably the BEST reason for staying at POFQ,
namely being able to take the late relaxing boat-shuttle back from DD,
after the late-night two-stop resort->resort bus switch...
Well, try to find some excuse to take it anyway. :)

POFQ is our favorite resort. Small, intimate, and excellently themed. We
don't even worry about requesting a building there -- no building is more
than a 3 minute walk from the main building, and every view we've had,
whether of water or a gorgeously landscaped courtyard, has been fantastic.
Have a great time!

I am assuming that you are saying that the YC/BC costs 274 points per night
when using DVC, The poly costs 303 points per night, etc.
If your minimum purchase of points is 160 or so points...you can't even get
a single days stay at the YC/BC in a year. Saving a previous year, and
borrowing from next year would get you 480 points, or not even two days at
the YC/BC.
Are my assumptions correct on this? How the #(%& is this worth it?
Please help! | |

That's not even close to the 'points per night' for DVC. I think what Carol
was referring to is dollars and the p/n is 'per night'.
As a reference, a studio at the Beach Club Villas in Adventure season is 9
points per night (Sun-Thu).

THANK YOU!
So, to answer my question, I was *WAY* off in my assumptions...
not the first time, unfortunately.

I stayed in building 5 on the 2nd floor last September and loved it. I did
pay extra for the water view. I love the resort.

You betcha.
OK I will. But I warn you, it

As Rodney said, others may find that interesting. I, for one, always
find interest in trip reports that venture beyond the theme parks.

In addition to recommending experiences that might not have occurred to
other travlers, I've found it's also a good excuse to pick out those
little side stories worth writing about, and convince yourself that this
trip really *was* different from the last one--
Which can be one of the pitfalls of going too often. ;)
