possible explanation re river country closing

In September they allow the triathlon competitors to swim in the lake for
that portion of the race. I wonder why they aren't worried about the amoeba
then?

So, what about the shallow water that is near the shore? Any worries with
the kids playing there at the edge? Sometimes my kids get cups of water to
build sandcastles:)
