what is needed.
We need the Wedway People Mover!
There would an elevated track with terminals at each park, including
the water parks and miniature golf courses, and each resort. Possibly
multiple terminals at DTD.
There would be main lines and hubs. Each of the vehicles would have a
small control panel and you would indicate your destination and press
a <START> button which would close the doors and start your car
moving. The central computer system would know your destination, move
you from the terminal onto a main line at high speed, and have
high-speed junctions to move your vehicle, by the most direct route,
to your destination.
The cars would have some kind of enclosure to protect the occupants
from the weather.
For security purposes it would only be for people who are Resort
Guests, having to use their KTTW to access the vehicles. There would
be security cameras in each vehicle so if something happens which
should not, combined with use of KTTW, Disney would be able to see who
caused whatever damage which may have been done. And if someone
monitoring the cars sees some illegal actions they could hit a button
which will override the intended destination and the vehicle would end
up at a special security station.
This would definitely cut down on the number of buses required.

Actually there are a couple of instances where walking/cycling would
be wonderful!!!
For example from Ft. Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge to the Epcot
parking lot is less than a mile as the crow flies. A walking/golf
cart/cycling path in that direction would be wonderful!!!!
A walking path between Pop Century and WWoS would be beneficial.
Some type of walking path between AKL and AK would probably be
beneficial.
Legal sidewalks between Ft. Wilderness, and the OKW, POFQ, and POR
area would probably be utilized some.
A legal sidewalk between Carribean Beach and the Boardwalk Area.
A legal sidewalk between Pop Century and Carribean Beach
I'm not saying as a replacement for transportation, but in addition
to.

Not if you had to walk it... -_-
Oh, wait, you didn't know there's one already?
(Starts just across the street from the WL Villas quiet pool, IIRC, and
think both resorts have bike rental at either end.)

Hi Mike,
I seem to remember a discussion like this some time ago - the biggest
problem brought up was the incredible loading to the system at park open and
close.
