Default Renting DVC points

Have never done this and am interested. I know there is a whole other
website to find out this information but it's not telling me what I
want to know. I was curious how many points it would be for the
Contemporary and Grand Floridian for December 7 through December 12,
2008. Is there a phone number I can call to get this info without
being a DVC member?

We've always gone in early to mid December and found it the least
crowded time at WDW. Wouldn't this also be true of DVC
accommodations? I'll take my chances. At this point I have no dates
in mind. If it doesn't work out, no big deal.

I think I would take everyone's advice and rent the points at a DVC
resort, specifically at an Epcot resort. I like being able to enter
Epcot through the IG especially when just going for Illuminations and
a meal at World Showcase. Thanks, everyone!

Patty,
Here's my $.02 from a couple of DVC December stays. You will probably
not have trouble booking OKW or Saratoga Springs. I'm not sure about
AK Villas and WL Villas. The Epcot resorts - Boardwalk Villas and
Beach Club Villas - tend to book up much sooner. I'm not saying you
can't get them but, the earlier you reserve, the better, if you really
want to stay there.

Thanks, Steve! I'm not really sure what I'm doing at this point. Now
my cousins are talking about a mini-reunion in Florida next March
which is definitely NOT value season! I don't know what the heck I'm
doing at this point!
