Default Finding Nemo Question

Hi, we are going to DL in a few weeks and we are looking forward to
the Finding Nemo ride. We plan on catching it early one day, hoping
to beat the crowds. For those that have gone, is there a difference
in the day and night versions of the ride? I know the ride will be
the same, but is the lighting of the underwater decor, etc. worth an
evening ride as well or is there little difference?

Also, when we visited The Magic Kingdom a couple of years ago, just
before the gates opened there was a short good morning show with the
train entering carrying our favorite characters. Does Disneyland have
a similar show? As many times as we've been to DL, we have never
actually been there at park opening!

Thanks,
MrBadClams

The lions share of the ride is in its own ride building so day or night
doesn't make a whole lot of difference. The only change you will see is in
the opening minutes of the ride that are outdoors.
Have fun

I was there for opening a few weeks ago. No opening show of any kind.
Once they let us through the entrance gates, it was a mad dash to the
rope at the end of Main St. A CM came out, a few minutes before
opening, asked us to not trample each other as we dashed to Nemo, and
that was it.

Most definitely, make Nemo your first ride of the day, and get over
there as early as possible. There will be CMs directing you. It's the
second right turn. I was first at the rope, and walked very briskly to
Nemo. I had probably a 15 minute wait. By the time I got out of the
ride, the wait was well over an hour. Didn't make it back to that area
for the rest of the day, so I don't know how long the wait was later
on, but most everything else was either a walk-on or minimal (10
minute) wait. Exception to that...Peter Pan. Go figure.
