What's the next Celebration in store for late 2008 or early 2009?
Can anyone remember what previous celebrations Disney World had?

I'm guessing some more specific Walt-nostalgia, to raise interest in DCA
2.0...
Iger's now thinking in "Disney Parks" multi-brand terms of letting *all*
the parks get a piece of the annual theme.

you forgot the Happiest Celebration on Earth for Disneyland's 50th.
That immediately preceded the YoaMD

Well, yes, the question was *after* that...
Which should be around the time that all the New Stuff should be
starting to emerge in tangible form to theme-promote, Toy Story Mania
included.

Would LOVE to see something for Mickey's 80th!
It has been 20-25 years since the company recognized his birthday in
any big way...
They missed a good one for his 75th - I am hoping they were just
saving up for the big 8-0

There was also the 25th 'pink birthday cake' deal back in '97. That
was the first of several special events I encountered at WDW, followed
by more recent fare. I actually liked it better pre-97 without the
stream of special events, because the overall product was just
consistently great. Now, if you happen to go there in between special
deals, there seems to be a palpable let down, as if there is nothing
going on until the next ramp up.

"100 Years of Magic" came right after the Millennium Celebration.

They did have anniversary celebrations for WDW for years prior to
1997.
I remember several there and at DL.... just can't remember the names/
themes.
I remember for the 15th anniversary, they had "winners" every so many
people as you entered the Magic Kingdom. My husband won a WDW
anniversary visor with flashing lights...
There were other prizes including a car for some number (millionth?)

Surprise Celebration in 1991-1992 for WDW 20th. Roger Rabbit on the
lead float..I remember because our family rode on his float as Grand
Marshals in 1992 :)
