I'm sure I have this stuff in my archives, since I save everything from my
trips. The Port Orleans publication was called the "Sassagoula Sentinel", I
think, and was similar to, but distinct from, the "Times". Chances are that
I might have copies from '92, '94, and/or '98.
Feel free to contact me at the email attached to this message - but I don't
regularly check that, so it may be a few days before I remember.

Hmm, isn't that interesting? I wonder why a "Sentinel" wasn't part of
the PO welcome package we got in '93? I saved everything in a
scrapbook that the kids (young women now) still pull out and look at
to this day and all there is is a Times. Oh that WDW, always an
adventure, never predictable. lol | |

It's possible that I have "Times" and "Sentinel" mixed up - but I'm all but
certain that there were two different publications. If I were at home right
now, I could dig the box out of the closet and look at them. That will have
to wait a few more hours.

From what I recall, the backstory of the resort centers around two
brothers - one who stayed "in town" (Port Orleans), and one who went
"upriver" (Dixie Landings). Each of the two publications' historical
articles centers on one of the brothers, with a short mention of the other.
As I said in another posting, I will try to remember to pull these out this
evening.

Here's what I found last night. The bad news is that I don't have anything
older than late 1997 - apparently I didn't become a compulsive archivist
until after my first two visits.
The two publications are indeed the Times and the Sentinel, as I remembered.
However, the Port Orleans version is just four pages, rather than six (or
eight?). It has a lot less of the backstory material. The lower half of the
front page contains the resort map.
More details to follow - I can send you that via direct email.

Mine are definitely distinct for the two resorts. The resort map for PO is
on the lower half of p.1 of the Sentinel, while the map of Dixie is on the
back page of the Times.
I'll send you a page-by-page when I get home. Should be easy enough to
attach jpgs as well.
