Pros:
* All your food is pre-paid for, including tax and tip
* It's an insane amount of food, specifically for table-service (each
person gets appetizer, entrée, dessert, and beverage)
* Depending on how much you would eat without the plan, it *might* be
a cost savings
Cons (for those buying the plan):
* It's an insane amount of food, and if you're the "clean your plate"
type, you'll overstuff yourself.
* Only two meals per day are included, leaving you to either buy one
meal alá carte, use a "snack" for a light breakfast, or only eat two
meals a day
* Depending on how much you would eat without the plan, it *might*
cost you more than purchasing alá carte would.
* Any left-over dining credits expire and are non-refundable.
* *SOME* waiters/waitresses seem to give Dining Plan users worse
service, since their 18% tip is already guaranteed
Cons (for all WDW visitors):
* All WDW restaurants have become so popular because so many people
buy the plan, that they book up absurdly early, necessitating everyone
to book dining reservations months and months ahead of time.
Spontaneous WDW dining is a thing of the past.
* Because the restaurants are so much busier, both food quality and
food selection have declined since the inception of the plan.
* Because the restaurants are so much busier, more tables have been
added, really packing everyone in like sardines. You'll get to know
your dining neighbors very well.
Hope this helps,
