Boat from Ft. Wilderness to the Contemporary resort is what they want,
then the monorail from the Contemporary to the TTC, switch monorails
to Epcot. That will work, but it will take a while. If you are
wanting to experience this, I'd suggest coming home that way from
Epcot, all of you together.
Again, take the monorail from Epcot to the TTC, switch to the resort
loop, get off at the Contemporary and take a launch to Ft.
Wilderness.
Either way, morning or evening, including the internal Ft. W bus trip
and walk to the dock, you are looking at about an hour to an hour and
a half worth of travel.
The Epcot bus will take about 30 minutes.
