I've been lurking... too fraidy-scared to post anything.

I can recall, back in the days that I was flying multiple times per week,
several airlines with assigned seats still over-booking flights. It was
standard fare then due to the number of no-shows.

Just a follow-up to their bumping offers. Just returned from our 7 days
in Colorado for a family wedding. This morning we were booked on a 9 am
flight out of Denver to a connection in Baltimore. SW said they were
overbooked by 2. They offered a refund of paid ticket price and a $100
SW voucher and a rebooking on the next flight 2 hours later at 11 am.
They did get 2 volunteers...
