| | Guest | Caribbean Beach Resort: Any opinions? Just returned from my 2nd stay at POFQ a little over a week ago. I've also
stayed at the Caribbean Beach. I prefer the POFQ for a lot of
reasons...atmosphere and size being the ones at the top of the list. The FQ
themeing is just so lovely, and it is a quiet resort comparatively. The
Caribbean Beach is enormous, as other posters have mentioned. Although it's
nice having all the quiet pools at the CBR, and the one main pool that is
fun for the kids, we didn't find POFQ lacking. It is just so easy to walk
around, and the advantage of the boat to Riverside or to Downtown Disney. I
don't really think the room size makes that much of a difference, it's not
like you could fit more people in the room.
As for buses, the buses stop at POFQ and then go to Riverside, so you are
usually guaranteed a seat. As was mentioned in a previous post, the CBR has
many bus stops throughout the resort.
Have fun!

The food court at CBR is bigger and has a wider assortment than
PO......but I would steer away from their sit down restaurant.
CB has a wonderful walk that circles the lake, with sandy beaches and
hammocks. The rooms have a nice slice of extra space big enough for
an extra double bed.........floor space that is handy for a luggage
dumping ground. Your best bet for buildings are the two each side of
Old Port Royale and the ones directly across the lake from the back
entrance. | |

| | Guest | Caribbean Beach Resort: Any opinions? Caribbean Beach is a good experience if and only if you spring for a
preferred room, imho. I would stay there again, but only in the
Jamaica section in a water view room. The grounds can be nice, if you
are in a good location like that one.
All the rooms at all the moderates were the exact same square footage,
I thought? Anyways, if you can afford it, there are suites at
Coronado Springs that would give you more room, but for the price they
charge for them, you might as well go for a Deluxe or Home Away from
Home catagory resort.
Personally, I'd rather take a dip in a lake of lava than stay in a two
double bed room with three other people, but that's just me.

Stayed at them all -- PO/RS, PO/FQ, CBR, CSR. We have found our own
little piece of heaven in Building 9A at Coronado Springs -- near to
the main building, bus stop, etc., not far from the main pool and
right next to a quiet pool. 9A is a Cabana, so the coventioneers are
far away. Nice decor, and some extra pluses (being a convention
location) that the other Moderates don't seem to have. As for
Caribbean Beach: you GOTTA have a car. If you're down at one end,
you'll need to commute just to get to the fod court in the morning. I
thought it was less well-maintained. But hey, others feel other ways,
so take it al with a grain of s Learn by doing. Chances are, no
matter which you choose, it won't be horrible, just not as good as it
could be. Next time, try elsewhere, and compare.

CBR, being built first, has slightly larger rooms. I think it's 340 vs. 314,
so that's akin to a 4 x 6 area. Not sure how the extra footage is actually
distributed.
I believe that the CBR rooms are said to be the same size as the regular
size rooms at Wilderness Lodge.
