he could try it on, then did a runner (actually a trundle).

Great story and Happy Ending.
I always loved when my kids played in WDW for Magic Music Days. Glad
we were there to see it as I am sure you are. Especially with a rather
storybook ending.
Congratulations!

Met that same can about 5 years ago. He caried on a conversation with
my daughter, then asked for a hug. The kid, being totally floored by
walking talking garbage cans, complied. the can then wandered off,
happily singing, "I got a hug from Juliana." A wonderful piece of
footage on the video. | |

Thanks Sandi and Mark. One of my issues with him was that he wasn't
spontaneous, didn't move "out of the box"...boy he sure showed me! lol
In a character related story, our first family trip, daughters 7 and
9. They ended up playing in the playground in Mickey's Toon Town for
longer than dad wanted them too. He was unhappy that with the money we
had spent to get there and there they were "wasting" time in a
glorified playground. His body language spoke volumes. He was leaning
against a post, arms crossed but waving them once in a while to motion
for the girls to come out of the playground. But what he didn't see
was Dale had come up right behind him and starting imitating him. Then
Chip started pitching acorns at him. The crowd chuckled, the girls
were thrilled to see C&D "playing" with Dad and Dad lightened up too. | |

We met a talking trash can at MK in 2001 - my kids (then 9, 6) were
amazed. DH and I stood back while DS looked inside, etc.. Then
the trash can talked to my DH (who was wearing a corporate logo
shirt),
saying, "If you work for that company, you must know my good friend,
XXX" My DH was just on loan to that local company, and *did* know
the Trash Can's friend. DH interacted a bit with the trash can, who,
before he left, told DH to "Tell XXX hello from me!" We were just
floored!

| | Guest | Surprise moments at WDW? After at least 10 trips to WDW with no sighting of the Tomorrowland talking
trash can, he finally showed up talking to my very confused young son on our
last trip. I, of course, acted like a 7 year old myself...I ran over, told
the trash can that I had been looking for him for years and was thrilled to
finally meet him. At just that moment, I looked up and immediately sighted
the "voice". I just smiled at the "voice", looked straight at the trash can,
gave him a big hug and told him that you were never too old for the magic to
work!
