| | Guest | Any ideas for a special trip? We are leaving on a "surprise" trip to WDW the day my son comes back
from a mission trip to New Orleans. He and many of his classmates will
be helping out Katrina victims as they continue to rebuild their
lives.
We want to congratulate our son for taking on such a noble cause, and
want to make the trip extra special. We are DVC members, so, we go
down quite often. Any ideas for our 13 year old?
Thanks-Cindy | |

Let him choose which park to go to each day and let him choose the
first three attractions there each time.

If he is a big video game player, how about a day at Disney Quest? You
can let him spend the day there without your supervision (especially
if he has a friend along); they had food inside.

Another thought - parasailing. I don't know their age limit, but I'm
pretty sure 13 is OK. An experience he'll never forget.

What fabulous suggestions! Thank you! And, Rodney, thank you, too for
your very kind remarks. Believe me, this boy is truly a gift from
above!-Cindy | |

| | Guest | Any ideas for a special trip? Try the Segway tour around EPCOT. Those things are fun.

| | Guest | Any ideas for a special trip? I was going to say the same thing someone else said - Let him decide
where to go! I think the trip itself is a great reward. You could
surprise him by making a card yourself with a poem inside that will
tell him what his surprise is! I believe you must be 16 or older to
do the Segway tour. If he has a favorite restaurant, I would
definitely make ADRs there for him and perhaps try a resort he has
always wanted to check out unless he has a favorite already.

you can take him and his friends after all the fun, to the Kissimmee
Walmart at night at the wee hours (1:00 to 3:00 a.m) and let them
explore the store without any interruption! they could browse through
all the toys with nobody disturbing them and you can find Disney stuff
at great discount prices. They will feel special and great because I
bet they have never stayed that late at a store. Then you could even
take them to the local McDonald's that's in the store.
