I don't know where the "you can't" people are coming from. You can.
I know for a fact, because we did. May 20-29, 2006. At Pop Century.
I called the resort a month before leaving, to ask that very
question. The CM there told me it was subject to availability, and
there would be a $10/night charge for the cot, in addition to the 3rd
person charge.
After we checked in and got to our rooms, we called Housekeeping from
the room telephone, and they said no problem. We went out to the
parks, and when we came back, the cot was in our room.
If for some reason a CM says "no", and I can't imagine why they would,
ask another CM, or ask to speak to a manager...

Now that's just wrong. If the brat doesn't want to share a bed with
dear old Dad, HE should be the one on the floor, not the father! :-)

The value resort rooms are 260 sq ft. This is the total size
including the sleeping area, bathroom and dressing area.
Put in four people with luggage and add a cot and everyone will be
tripping over everything.
The moderates are all 314 sq ft, except CBR which is 340 sq ft.
So if you are able to get a cot it will take up over 12 sq ft of
space.

We moved the table to the other side of the bureau, so it was against
the connecting door, and put the cot there, perpendicular to the two
double beds. We three 20-somethings fit just fine. Admittedly, we
only used the room to sleep and were in the parks from open to close
every day, so maybe that's why it wasn't an issue for us.

I am betting they are not supposed to provide a rollaway in one of the
value resort rooms
(smaller square footage) that already have two doubles. They do stock
them though, and they will put them into rooms that have one king
without a problem. | |
