Dining Plan question..

last year, we had made our reservation prior to the free DDP annoucement,
When they announced it I called and asked whats up with that? They had
already put it on our reservation. Not sure if that is the answer to the
question, but it is the answer to a question.

When did they do the last free plan? Is there any hint as to when they
might do it again? I'm going in August, and I hope it's not going to be
offered. It's not that I don't like saving money, but I'd rather not have
the parks and restaurants flooded with all the extra people.

With free DDP being so popular last year, I can see them doing it again this
year IFF they do not have the late summer level of bookings to make quota.
I have heard rumor from reliable sources that the free DDP will be offered
again (if it is offered again, but most likely given current booking) this
year for late August - Sept. time frame with the announcement coming in late
May-early June time frame. The same source indicates that response to free
DDP will impact the park hours.

Yes package rules apply for the free DDP, however as has been mentioned in
many other threads... there is no other discount for the typical traveler
that cuts as deep as free DDP if you are a big eater.
