7 Hours?!?!?!?!? Either you're in the zone driving outside of rush hour
with a tailwind and don't stop, or I drive very slowly!!! Actually, its
probably the latter of the two between the fact that I'm usually making this
drive alone to see family (parents live 90 miles north of ATL in "them thar
hills", sister lives in BHM), and my back (with 3 fused vertebrae), I
usually make MCO to my destination in about 12 hours behind the wheel, which
means I'm hitting Atlanta after 10 hours. With my back, I'm only good for
150 miles tops before having to stop a while for a stretch, less if the car
is weighed down or the road is bad. I guess that's why I'm not too good on
road trips and will gladly exchange the same amount of time behind the wheel
and a couple hundred bucks to fly!
