| | Guest | Leaving Tuesday - Question about Disney Dining Plan DW and I are leaving Tuesday for an adults only trip. I CAN'T WAIT. We
have the DDP, but honestly, there is no way we can eat 2 appetizers, 2
entrées and 2 desserts at a meal every day for 5 days. Sooooo, has
anyone tried asking for a split plate at a table service meal? I'm
willing to pay a split plate charge, but when I asked a CM while making
a reservation, he said that split plates are a no-no.
By the way, I've been lurking while making our plans, so thanks for all
the help. | |

you can have it doesn't mean you have to take it. Or, if you order it,
doesn't mean you have to eat the whole portion. Have a taste.

I know I don't have to eat it all, but sometimes my willpower is
non-existent when the food is on the table in front of me. Also, I was
hoping to stretch our DDE meal credits by using only one at a time.
That way we could use one credit to have a late lunch/early dinner and
still have one credit to use for a late dinner if we get the munchies.
I realize that we would still eat about the same amount of food that
way, but we like more small meals spread out instead of fewer large
meals. It helps keep my energy level up.

I have read reports on another board, that only ordering one meal for
two people is allowed by most of the servers. Of course, at buffets
you have to use a credit for each person.

Sis and I are leaving on Tuesday too! Can't come soon enough. We're
planning on splitting a table credit on a meal too. We want to stretch out
our options.

| | Guest | Leaving Tuesday - Question about Disney Dining Plan Thanks for all the responses. I understand about the buffets and the
counter services. I wanted to know if anyone had been successful at the
table service meals, and it looks like at least a few have. I also
understand that many of the restaurants are booked, but since it's just
the two of us, we can be flexible and hopefully a little lucky.

Ouch, no ADRs? Yea, it's pretty booked... You'll have to tell us how that
works out for ya. :)

Good luck. We had some ADR issues (Disney cancelled ADRs that they
shouldn't have) during the first week of free dining, and we had
difficulties getting reservations for that week *during* that week. We
did manage to get a table for 4 at Flying Fish on one night, but had to
eat at 9pm (which was really really odd for me, who usually has dinner
at 4:30!)
Things might have slowed down. I will say this - it did seem to us that
it was easier to get into resort restaurants than those in the parks.
And Breakfast was relatively easy to come by as well, so you might
think about doing a breakfast and dinner on one or two days to eat up
some extra credits.

| | Guest | Questions about Disney Dining Plan You can split. We used it in April and split meals at many restaurants.
Don't get obsesses about using up all the credits. We came home with snack
and counter credits and still saved a lot of money with the plan. We overate
when we first started using it and settled down after that and just ordered
what we thought we would eat. Sometimes I made a meal out of the 3
appetizers the others ordered and told them I didn't want an entree so I
used no credit for me. I think people also forget the fact that tips are
included. That is a 15-20 %savings on top of it!
