| | Guest | Caribbean Beach Resort Hi, we're staying at the CBR for 4 nights in early October. Stayed
there years ago. Just wondering if anything has changed since the
mid-1990's. Also, does anyone know if there are refrigerators or
coffee makers in the rooms? Is there a grocery near by to get milk,
cereal, etc. We won't have a car so we can't go off property.
If I recall we stayed in maybe Trinidad or something that was the
absolute furthest from the OPR. Any hints on how to get closer without
having to upgrade??
As always, your anticipated responses are appreciated. This forum is
GREAT!!!
Cheers!!! | |

Hi Lou:
We stayed there in January. The whole resort has been updated - new
carpets, bed spreads, curtains, paint job, etc. But the layout is still the
sme. Refrigerators and coffee makers are in the room. I know there is a
Goodings in the Crossroads Plaza, not far from Downtown Disney. Someone
else may be able to comment if there's something closer. You could always
pick up a few things right at the resort - they have a small selection of
groceries in the gift shop in Old Port Royale.
Enjoy!

Refrigerators & Coffee Makers
to the best of my knowledge, these are available in all moderate resort
rooms
Milk
the Hess station (near Boardwalk) isn't too far away from *some* areas
of CBR -- we find it convenient for milk, bottled water, beer, wine,
etc...
option - you could walk there
option - you can walk there from MGM or Epcot or Boardwalk (however, the
time that will take is similar if not greater than the time to walk from
some areas of CBR) --- and here we go again, can you walk from CBR to
Boardwalk? Yes, it's possible, especially if we're talking about adults
paying attention to where they are
option - if you're getting a ride from airport to CBR using a car
service - get them to make a grocery stop (most of them include this for
free)

You can send in a fax a few days (5 or so) before your arrival
requesting specific building -- your request may or may not be "rewarded"
I suggest you check out allearsnet.com for more details :)
Have a great time.

With the exception of the All-Stars and Pop, all resorts have fridges in the
room, or they are complimentary upon request. Coffee makers are also in the
moderates & deluxes.
All-Star & Pop still charge $10/night except in the family suites at Music,
where they are complimentary.
