"Not really test marketed at this point - and they are popular, I'd be
surprised if Disney didn't continue them elsewhere."

Rumor has it that they may make the other half of Pop Century all
Family Suites....

Although the information about Port Orleans/Riverside/Alligator Bayou is
correct in that it's the only moderate that can accommodate 5 guests, the
information about the roll-away is incorrect.

There is NO roll-away. It is a small trundle bed that pulls out from under
the bed closest to the window.

It would definitely be OK for a smaller child, but an older/larger child or
adult would probably be a bit uncomfortable.

Gloria is correct on this. We have stayed at Port Orleans - Riverside
twice with our 3 kids. On the last trip they were 11, 9 & 5. The 5 &
9 y/o actually argue over who gets to sleep on the trundle bed (but
then again, they argue over everything! :o)

I love Riverside, but my only real complaint with the rooms with the
trundle beds is that there is very little room to open the door when
the trundle bed is pulled out. This makes it difficult to enter or
exit the room without waking up whoever is in the trundle bed (so much
for a romantic dip in the hot tub after the kids are asleep!)

The wealth of knowledge of the "members" of this group never fails to
amaze me. Thank you very much for the insight, especially the
"adjoining" vs. "connected" point...very important! We will be making
our finaol decision in the next day or so, we'll keep you posted (as if
you really care! lol).

Thanks again!

Ok,

Made our decision (that was fast!)...

Based upon the feedback you all provided, the fact that we will be
there in April, the crowds we expect, and the impact that may have on
bus transportation, we are going to stay with our MK view room at the
Contemporary. Seems to make the most sense from a cost and proximity
perspective.

BTW, we are heading down at this time b/c my daughter is ballet dancing
in Tomorrowland with her troupe, very excited!

Thanks again all!

Ed

You should be very happy at the Contemporary. I love it there. It's
great to have the monorail right there for you. The rooms are a very
good size even with 2 queen beds and a day bed. The bathrooms are
large. You will have a great time.
Enjoy-
Judy
