If you like the Pop Century, I'd probably go for the Cheyenne. One step
up from the Santa Fe, I like their food court type area. The Sequoia
is nice as well, and has a great pool.
Of course, if you had a little more time, you could just spend the night
in Paris and take the train. But if you are just doing DLP, you could
do those (or the Movenpick or HI that are fairly close by).

I'll put in another recommendation for the Cheyenne. We stayed there
back in 1992 just after the resort opened and it was HUGE fun. So much
so I with they'd recreate the place at WDW. I felt like I was on the
set of Gunsmoke or something. And the food court was very good.

On our second trip to DLP we stayed in Paris and took the train to the
park. It was a really fun 45 minute ride. Very convenient and easy to
do. The only problem is that the last train back to Paris was before
the park closed. So we had to cut our visit to DLP a bit short. But on
the flip side, we were then in Paris for a wonderful evening on the
town. So while we lost a little park time we gained a very memorable
evening in Paris.

Just got back and stayed in Paris which I really think is the only way to go
as well, unless you have small children. Paris is an amazing city at night.

Paris is lovely at night, it is my very favorite city anywhere (that
I've visited so far!). We are planning to stay later this year at a
hotel that is outside the main tourist area, but I think we can handle
it for the 68 Euros per night we are paying.
I'd rarely recommend anyone stay on Disney property except if that is
all you plan to do. I did like staying at the Sequoia, but I prefer
being in Paris at night.

At night. During the day. During a blizzard. During fog. Anytime Paris
is an amazing city.
Trying to decide which I enjoyed more, staying on property at DLP or
taking the train in is difficult for me. I enjoyed both experiences
very, very much. I'm glad that I've done both.

I totally agree! I would love to live there temporarily someday. But
watching the lights come on at night on the monuments and the Eiffel
Tower - that is incredible. Especially from the Seine, we did a cruise
last year (and I'd like to do that again once or twice this year). A
few years back, some friends and I were on the Eiffel Tower from before
sunset to after sunset. Really amazing.

If I had plenty of time, I'd not mind a night or two on property. But
this year, we are planning 5 nights - and I prefer just being in Paris
and taking the train in for half a day.
Next time you are in France, take a car to Mont. St. Michele and Omaha
Beach. It's a pretty easy drive once out of the city, and a wonderful
addition to a Paris trip.
