Default Transportation questions for Tokyo Disney Resort

I have a couple questions, and was hoping that somebody could help:
1) Once you exit the JR train at Maihama station, is it possible to
walk to the Disneyland entrance? It appears that the walk is not too
bad, and I would rather not take the monorail if I can avoid it.
2) I assume you have to take the monorail if going to Disney Sea. Is
this correct?
3) Can you walk between Disney Sea and Disneyland when hopping between
the two parks (like in California), or do you have to take the
monorail. Is there any free transportation between the two parks?

Thanks!

I remember the Maihama station attached pretty much directly to the
Disney monorail station. I don't know if it's walkable but they seem
not to encourage it. In any case, the monorail is not expensive (about
$3.00 a day when I was there) and it's such a cool monorail that you
really owe it to yourself to ride it. They're real train cars where you
can walk from car to car, they have lovely displays of Disney artifacts
to look at, and they have real upholstered seats. Such a step up from
the monorails we're used to over here!

The ticket machines didn't have an English option so I needed a
Japanese person to help me--maybe they've fixed that by now because
everything else seemed to be available in English. Oh, and the tickets
are really cute with Disney characters on them.

Can't wait to go back.
