Default Honeymooning at DisneyWorld 2006!

Hey everyone!

My fiancee and I are going to be spending our honeymoon (end of June)
in Orlando half at a Walt Disney Resort (Port Orleans Riverside) and
half at a resort just outside of Disney (to save money).

I've been reading all the fantastic tips provided on RADP for
honeymooners and others for romantic "things to do" and was wondering
simply if there was anything that might not have been mentioned. The
last question I saw like mine was in 2003, so three years have gone by
and who knows what might have changed!

I've read recommendations for V&A's, Cali Grill for fireworks, San
Angel Inn, Rose & Crown, and Cinderella's castle for restaurants.

We're gonna get the Mickey and Minnie wedding hats (should I get these
off of eBay or just wait till I get there?) and I'm sure I'll be
dropping hints left & right that it's our honeymoon.

I'm really excited about this. I have to say that Disney for the
honeymoon was more my desire then hers, which is another reason why
only half the vacation is there and not all of it! But that being
said, I want to make sure she doesn't have any regrets!

Thanks for any tips you might have!

Jason

Congratulations, Jason! You are going to have a great time. If it was
me, I would wait to buy the bride and groom ears until you get there.
I just think it would be more exciting for you.

At POR, make sure you make a reservation to take a horse-drawn carriage
ride at least one evening. It's so romantic to hear the horse hooves
clip-clopping at night throughout the resort. It's so romantic!

Jason,

Investigate having a Disney photographer take pictures of you there.
They can get you into the parks before they open and allow you to have
photographs without a crowd all around. It's strangely magical...

"quiet pool"? Is this something all the resort hotels have or just
specific ones?

Thanks!
Jason

All of the moderate resorts EXCEPTING Port Orleans FRENCH QUARTER have
quiet pools.

Yep, if you stay at POFQ you can go over and use the quiet pools at POR
(at least we've done it in the past). The walk between the two is
rather nice too. If you leave POFQ headed towards POR, you go under the
roadway, take the first bridge across the Sassagoula River (to your
right), there's a quiet pool almost straight ahead.
