Default Disney Dining Plan - v. Disney Dining Experience

Hmmm, just made my first ever foray into "Food and Wine" at Epcot.

I noticed, on the highly overpriced products at the various food
stands, a little symbol representing "discount item for members of
Disney Dining Plan". I proudly offered them my debit card (as
mortgages were not available on the food scraps being sold) and my
Disney Dining Experience card - hoping for the usual 20% discount.

Our survey said?, <insert your own negative noise (anybody know how to
spell it?)>.

Was handed the card back with the comment, "No, Sir, we cannot accept
that - just the Disney Dining Plan".

So whats the difference between the plan and the experience? Can you
plan to have a dining experience, or do you need to have experience to
be able to plan dining?

Who better to ask than (he says, handing over the keyboard
to............................) YOU!!.

Plus, don't forget, that for the most part, the DDE is for full service
restaurants, with the exceptions being places that don't have full service
restaurants, such as AK, PO-FQ, and perhaps a few others I can't think of
off the top of my head. For the most part, counter service, and kiosks are
not included in the DDE plan.

Take care,

Bill ( who will be giving his DDE card a workout in a little over two
weeks!)
