Default London lights in Disneyland "Peter Pan's Flight"?

I was chatting with a friend the other day and he said when he visited
Disneyland last summer, he was disappointed that they had changed
PPF such that there were only a few lights in the London scene.

I haven't been on the one at DL for a couple of years (I was just
at WDW last December, and London was all lit up on that one), but
I don't recall the lights disappearing. Have they really changed
it, or was there maybe a problem the day my friend rode it?

Thanks! I expect there was just a temporary problem, not a
redesign as my friend thought.
