Default Is there a "half day ticket" to the parks???

My daughter is going down with her school band to see the Drum Corp
International commpetition in Orlando. (they are just viewing it not
competing)

The band director has arranged for two days to visit Disney, as they are
staying at one of the Hotels within walking distance to Downtown Disney.

What we found as odd in their planned schedule, was that the two days they were
going to go to the Disney parks, they didn't leave for the parks until 1:30
pm!!!

They were scheduled to spend the first part of the day at Downtown Disney.
Having been on numerous Family trips to WDW, this just didn't make sense to us.

Is there some reason this would make sense? Is there such thing as a package
that only lets a group enter the parks after 1:30 pm?

Please let us know, either to RADP or to our email at John213a@
