| | Guest | Must-see places in Costa Rica? Hi, all.
Booked on the 9/24 Sun Princess, Seattle through the Canal to FLL.
Are there any must-see excursions out of Puntarenas? I'm in a
wheelchair (paraplegic, age 42) and have checked out suitable tours, but
others in my group (all in mid-60's, all but one able-bodied and he has
a heart condition) would like some 'must-sees'. TIA, Arthur

I have no idea what Princess offers. If they do offer a trip to Poás
National Park, that's the one I'd go for. By the way, I've taken this trip
with someone in a wheelchair. It requires a bit of uphill pushing, but
certainly doable.

Maybe not "must-see" but why not grab a taxi ship-side and
let the driver take you on a tour through the mountains,
stop to pick a few coffee beans by the road, visit the tin
church in Grecia, and the little town of Sarchi where they
make fancy painted wooden carts and other arts and crafts
and maybe stop at a butterfly farm. That way you control
the activity level and the length of the day's trip.
