| | Guest | Need a Pre cruise and Post cruise Hotel Reccomendation in Miami In Late October Our family and two kids (Boys age 9 & 12) will be flying
into Miami for a cruise leaving the next day. What we need is a
recommendation of where to stay that offers a outdoor pool, shuttle
transportation to and from the airport and shuttle transportation to and
from the cruise ship terminal in Miami.
Can this be had for $100 a night in Miami? Ideally, this hotel would be
situated between the airport and cruise ship terminal but on or near the
beach area would be ok too. Any recommendations on where to stay??

Maybe on Priceline you could score a place that you'd want to stay in,
for $100. Other than that, I don't know of a place in Miami that I'd
want to stay, where the rack rate was in the $100 range. Miami has some
rather unsavory areas, so really take location into consideration when
booking a room, rather than basing your decision mostly on price. Love
the place, used to live there.

Well, Miami has waterfront...on the intercoastal waterway, but for
beach, you'd have to go over to the city of Miami Beach. And, I doubt
you'd be able to find a place for $100 a night there.
Sorry I haven't been more help. Personally, I'd go the Priceline route.
You'll get a lot more hotel for your hundred bucks. You may or may not
score all of your other preferences (shuttle, pool, etc.) but if you
select the right region when you bid, a taxi shouldn't cost too much.
Many of these hotels do offer shuttles, but it's sometimes just more
practical to take a cab...especially with 4 of you. I get impatient
waiting for those hotel shuttles. Just not worth it to me, sometimes,
to save a few bucks. Life is too short to wait in line...
