Default Perks with 5 cruises on RCC

We are thinking of a cruise on the Med. next year. We have taken a total of
4 cruises to date. Royal Caribbean has told us that if even one of us takes
a fifth cruise before the Med cruise, we would qualify for higher Crown and
Anchor status, all kinds of travel perks, etc. I can get an LA to Mexico
cruise for a few hundred dollars so that isn't any issue but is it worth it
to get the fifth cruise in before we do on the Med? What are the "perks" tht
come with a fifth cruise on RCC?

Thanks.
Tim

I don't think so but you might have a different opinion. The Platnium
perks are:

Private departure lounge
Exclusive onboard event
Robes for use onboard
Priority check-in
Matching Captain's Club member level on Celebrity Cruises
A special number to call for pre-cruise benefits
Complimentary custom air fee
Special rates on balcony and suite staterooms
Premium Saving certificates online

I love RCI and think they have the best ships and itineraries around.
Having said that, their perks are sad. Not worth considering IMHO.

Are you Crown & Anchor members? You have to register in order to get
credit for the cruises (or they'd have no way of keeping track).

You give them your membership # when you book, and the coupon booklet,
etc. is delivered to your cabin automatically.

I've always thought that myself. With all their publicity about perks for
repeaters, RCI seems to fall short on delivering much of any value. On the
other hand, Princess seems to have a decent program after 16 cruises.
1. Priority Tender Embarkation
2. Shoe Polishing Service
3. Complimentary Dry Cleaning & Laundry Service
4. Complimentary Mini Bar Set Up
5. Free Internet Access

With tips and incidentals, weekend cruise to Baja is about $1000 for
two. I don't think their perks are worth $1K.
Why not book a suite on your Med. cruise? I believe you get Diamond
level of "perks" for that.
