| | Guest | lets go latin show aruba Bob, The Lets Go Latin show was fantastic from what I was told. Lots of
Latin Music and Dancing. I did not see it but I know of 6 others who
did and came back to the ship raving about it. The Crystal Casino is a
very short walk from the ship. Only a couple of blocks. Its right on
the main strip right in front of where the ships dock. Its a very easy
walk out of the Passenger Ship Terminal to the main street. One lady
was in her 80's who went and she walked it. You will find the local
papers and Aruba Tourist books right in the Terminal before you exit.

It's an easy five-minute walk from the pier. I've never seen the show,
but it's been playing there for the last five years or so. I don't know
if it's worth the price of admission.
Surely you have better things to do with a limited port call than spend
time in a darkened theater. Aruba has some fantastic beaches!
Steve...Aruba timeshare owner...just back from 15 glorious days there.

When my wife and I were in Aruba on the Adventure of the Seas in
September of 2004, the ship actually had this show as one of their
tours.
Also, if you spent enough time in the Casino while in port, they would
give away tickets to the show. (I know a couple people from the sihp
received free tickets.) However, I live two hours from Wendover, NV.
I don't go on vacation to spend it in a Casino. I might spin the slots
a couple times, but to spend all my port time in a Casino is not my
idea of fun.
However, we did attend the show. We also did find out enough about
the Casino to find out they use U.S. money, and not the square coins
from Aruba. If the slots had used the Square Coins, I might have spent
an hour or so playing with Square coins just because it would have been
different.
The Let's Go Latin Show is a first rate show. It is up there with the
Las Vegas Productions, and very well done. The theatre is a bit run
down if you are used to the fancy Las Vegas theatres.
However, the talent level, and the way the show is produce is on par
with the Las Vegas, or a traveling brodway production.

No place is really safe. Aruba is pretty safe. It is one of the safest
ports in the Caribbean.

Life is full of dangers.
Driving your car is dangerous.
Walking your dog is dangerous.
Walking alone on a street at night is dangerous.
Taking the trash out is dangerous.
You just have to live smart, not do things that are going to put you in
positions that are going to compromise your safety, and try to enjoy
life.
The press made a big deal out of one person gone missing in a "Resort".
More people go missing, or are murdered in a large city in a single
day in the U.S., and the press doesn't care. Because this was one case
on a "Resort" island, the press is sensationalizing it.
You are far safter on the island of Aruba then walking down the streets
of most major metropolition cities in the U.S.
Deal with life. If you want to avoid danger - well, you can't stay
home. Your home is one of the most dangerous places around. More
accidents happen in the home than anywhere else.
So, if you want safe.... not sure where to tell you to go.
