I am booked on the Royal Caribbean/Navigator of the Seas to depart Miami
on Dec. 10. A travel agent just told me that I need a marriage
certificate as well as birth certificate, and photo ID. Does anyone
know if this is necessary. I do not have a passport, but do have the BC
and Photo ID. Was told I will not be allowed to board the ship. What's
the story? .

This cruise is to the Western Caribbean and also heard that instead of
Cozumel, that it will stop at Nassau instead. ??

Help on the ID - Thanks, Midge

You will need all three if name on the BC and the ID don't
match up. The marriage license shows why the BC and ID are
different.
Also be careful because you will need an official BC (with the
raised seal).

If the name that you booked the trip /
cabin under is not your "birth
certificate" and "photo ID" name, you
will need the marriage certificate to
"explain" the difference. By the way,
they should all be "certified" copies -
the expensive kind and not just a
photocopy - or you might have some problems.
By the way, it would be a good idea to
order a passport when you get back,
you'll have all the documents you need!
Have a wonderful cruise,
Cheers,
John

This cruise *must* be a one that you signed up for very recently. Otherwise,
anyone with any brains at all would have taken the time to get a passport!
