| | Guest | Upgrade? I don't see a cabin 7113 on my deck plan. Looks like an upgrade as you
noted is OK, sandwich remains

| | Guest | Upgrade? I think Carnival has no cabin with 13 as an ending. Are you leaving in
the AM. Wonder if you would buy a postcard album $7, for me and I will
get in toulch with you when you return.

If you like your location, reject the upgrade right away. The majority of
upgrades are within the same category group (inside to higher level inside;
outside to higher level outside; balcony to higher level balcony). You may
end up one deck higher, but in a much worse location.
I generally pick where I want to be and say no to upgrades unless the
upgrade is offered early to my TA and they can tell me where the new
location will be.

On Carnival, all the cabins of a class (4C) cost the same regardless
of fore/aft location. A 4D is one deck above a 4C.

| | Guest | Upgrade? >Right now I'm booked on a cruise where the ship has FIVE cabins in their
lowest category, 16 in the next one and they are all in the same
general
area, on the same deck and AFAIK all were booked as GTY, so I have
little
doubt that at least some of us will be "upgraded".
This sounds like our booking on the Diamond in December. Bottom deck,
interior, under the theatre and backed by the under workings of the
stage. We got two guaranteess at a price that was fantastic. As someone
else has said, some type of upgrade is almost a given for one of the
cabins. | |

| | Guest | Upgrade? Probably just a higher deck. Usually when they upgrade it's within the
same class that you booked but just a higher deck. | |

Sometimes, but other times it can be an improvement. I did an Alaska or
Regal Princess a few years ago with the cheapest inside gty. Got
upgraded to an outside, partially obstructed, but it did have a window.
YMMV.
