If there are only one or two people in a taxi it will be $15 each. The
rate per person goes down with more than that in a taxi. They use vans
so there will almost always be more than two. They make more money with
ten. I don't think they will leave with only two as the drivers like to
fill up the taxi. I usually have paid $5 or $6 to get to Marigot. Same
to Orient Beach from Phillipsburg and the fares to Pinel Island in a
taxi van with others.

Thank you, Charles. There will be four of us, so does that mean we should
share a van with others, or should we take a regular automobile? I'm sort of
confused. Thank you.

Most likely you are going in a taxi that is a van. If they have taxi's
that are regular autos they may be a special request. There is a
dispatcher at the cruise terminal so if you could ask him if you want a
regular auto if they have those. Every taxi I have got at the cruise
terminal, Orient Beach, Pinel Island and Marigot has been a van which
was fine with me as then I got the lowest price, $5 if there were at
least six people. Also the taxi driver wants your return business so he
will arrange a time to pick up those who he dropped off which works out
well if you know when you want to return.
