I was on Jewel of the Seas last Christmas for an 8-day cruise. They had
56K dial-up in the cabins (I was on deck 3). I think they charged $10 a
day for the access. There's also a "cyber-lounge" on deck 5. I didn't
use it though, so I don't remember how much they might have charged.

I was able to stay in touch via e-mail with everyone at work (I was a
vendor and on-ship to fix some system problems), and even a little slow
bandwidth web serving.

I was on the Jewel OTS last November and was very disappointed with the
internet access aboard the ship. I attempted to use their internet cafe,
and it was not high speed. The pages were so slow in loading that I
cancelled what I was doing, and went to the Purser's desk to request a
refund on my shipboard account. I also suggested to them that if they are
advertising internet accessibility, then they need to provide high-speed
access. What they had was literally painful to use. Hope this helps. By
