Hotel Miami Cruise Terminal

We are departing on the Carnival Victory on September 11th and will arrive
in Miami, driving, on Saturday the 10th. We would like to stay as close to
the terminal as possible but also in a nice hotel. I will also be parking
my truck at the terminal garage. Suggestions, recommendations??

There are plenty of good hotels in Downtown Miami, which is as close to the
cruise ship terminal as you can get. I've stayed at the Sheraton Biscayne
Bay, and I know of people who have stayed at the Hyatt, the Holiday Inn, and
the Doubletree. A little further away, you can stay at one of several
hotels on South Beach, which is only a 10 to 15 minute drive from the port.

I'm not really sure what accommodations your looking for but we stayed at
the Fairfield Inn near the airport. Address is 3959 NW 79 Th. St. Tel Nbr.
1-800-228-2800. They provide a shuttle to & from the airport & to the ship
terminal on the weekends at no charge & if you time it right at the terminal
you can catch a shuttle back also. You only have to stay 1 night at & you
can leave the car there for the week at no charge. It's a clean place, nice
pool & a decent breakfast. A lot of airline employees also stay there.
It's located near the airport which is about 20 to 25 minutes away.

Thanks Rich. I'll look into it. Since we are driving, I can save on a
week's worth of parking fees.
