American Queen evening dress

I would appreciate some comments on evening dress on the American Queen.
We are going from Memphis to New Orleans in Sept. Is it a requirement
for men to wear a jacket in the dining room in the evening? My husband was
hoping not to have to wear a coat for dinner. Thank you in advance for
your comments

On formal nights men wear jackets to the dining room. I don't know if
it is a requirement. I don't recall seeing any men who were not wearing
jackets but that may have just been the cruise I was on.

Thank you. We have gone on many cruises, but thought maybe this one might
be more casual. So....he will be taking a jacket with him:-)
