I want to see where my cabin is when I book.
I won't like a brochure without deck plans.

Looking at the deck plans is important.
I am very fussy about my cabin location. I want it to be amidships
and in a quite area. Without the deck plans, I could end up
below the disco.

WEll I have read everyones Suggestions and it seems that all but 1
person is not happy about this. I am glad that it is not just me that
has a problem with this.... I sell alot of RCCL and one of my
complaints about the Brochures is that there is not enough pictures of
the rooms and the ships.....
to much of the other fluff and not enough substance. Takign the pricing
out of the brochures is fine since it never matches anyway, but to take
out DECK PLANS? what are they smoking? Glad to see others feel the same
way!
SO now to complain.... hmmmwhere do we start... I did send this thread
to my DSM and asked for it to get to the right people

Very frustrating Susette. Thanks for all the info.
My opinion of RCI has recently been downgraded.
I wonder if Celebrity brochures will follow? Maybe RCI considers Celebrity
"guests" to be a bit less "confused" when trying to read a deck plan?

| | Guest | NO deck Plans in New Brochure Are you serious that there will be no deck plans in the brouchure? That
sounds terrible to me. I use that to plan where my room is by checking what
is nearby and above and below the cabin. Why would they leave that out? I
think that people could be very upset if they chose a cabin that was under
the theater or by the kitchen when they were the ones who needed extra quiet
around the times that those areas might be busy. We don't all rely on the
TA to help with the cabin decision and I, personally, don't want to be left
without that kind of knowledge. Bad idea. It almost seems like they are
trying to hide something from the guest.

Not really. If one were a cynic (and there may be one or two around
somewhere), one might suggest that leaving out the deck plans is a way to
encourage the prospective cruiser to visit the Royal Caribbean website.
The cynic might also muse that the prospect's thought process might follow
the logic path of "gosh, there is EXACTLY the stateroom I want, it's
available RIGHT NOW, who knows what might happen between 2:00 a.m. and 8:00
a.m. when my TA opens. I'd better go ahead and book it now" or, "what the
heck, I'm already here, I might as well book it now".
That's what a cynic might think. Others might think it's a way to save
money. For whatever reason, RCCL announced this week that they will produce
a mini-broxhure with the deck plans.
