| | Guest | Bermuda Snorkeling Has anyone heard whether Snorkel Park has re-opened? -- We're going to
Bermuda on June 18th aboard the Zenith -- in addition to Shelly Bay and
Tobacco Bay, thought after a ferry ride to the Dockyard, Snorkel Park might
be perfect -- especially since my wife Barbara really isn't a swimmer .
Thanks for any info

It reopened last year. There were several trip reports that mentioned
using the snorkel park at the dockyard.

We're not there very long, are we?
Isn't it more because of Turks & Caicos that we're going?

Pretty much so, Tom...Very seldom do you see an itinerary for there..I
realize we aren't very long in Bermuda, especially since we will be docked
at your favorite <vbg> place at the Naval Dockyard! Maybe you can get
Charles to tell you of some snorkeling places near there..I believe he once
posted about finding some good ones near that port.

No that was at the East End, St. George. There is the snorkel park at
the Dockyard which reopened last year. It was closed the two previous
times I was at the Dockyard so I don't know how good the snorkeling is
there.
Actually being in Bermuda only one day at the Dockyard I think by
planning ahead we can make a very good day out of it. What I don't care
for are cruises that only go to the Dockyard for the whole cruise. I
would not want to be there three or four days in a row but one day
could be a good beach or snorkeling day for example.

I agree completly, with advance planning we will all be able to enjoy
Bermuda. If anyone going on the SGC2006 is a newbie to Bermuda, some
of us can advise them as to the best things to do and the best way to
do it in one day.
