Lee, I agree. I don't care for the type of raggae/calypso that's played
on the deck and don't associate this with cruising. I also think it
makes little sense on anything other than a Caribbean cruise.

I enjoy HAL's quiet pool and Celebrity's scheduled (and unscheduled)
quiet time by the pool. Chair hoggers, crowds, noise, don't need it on a
cruise. I can find plenty of that in Manhattan. :)

Before I went on my Zuiderdam cruise, people told me ... there's no
nightlife, it's so boring, older people make everything slower, no
parties

I replied ... OK now tell me the bad points ...

The three piece band playing the mood music in the lounge where they
have afternoon tea is perfect for the relaxing vacation I cruise for
....
