Default Access the internet on Infinity

I am having trouble finding any current information about options and costs
of accessing the internet on Celebrity's Infinity. If anybody's been on the
Infinity lately and can answer any of these questions, I'd appreciate it
greatly!

I would like to be able to connect my laptop in order to connect to my mail
server once a day. Obviously I don't want to pay a lot of money. I've seen
that there is in-cabin access with a modem. Is this available at a per
minute rate, or just a per day? What are the current prices?

Is there any way to connect a laptop in the computer lab or internet cafe?

Anybody know if they plan to ever have wireless access?

Thanks for any information!

Just got off the Millie and I assume all Celebrity ships charge the same rate.
The internet connection in your room with your laptop is $25 A DAY. To use
their terminals, its .75 A MINUTE. A ridiculous rip off- and the only complaint
we had about our cruise. One entire day the sattelite connection was bad and
there was no access anywhere on the ship- they couldn't even receive phone
calls or faxes.
We would wait till we were in port and check e mail from internet cafes for
like $2 for 15 minutes or something.

Wow, thanks for the info!

I would imagine that the Infinity is exactly the same as the Millennium
since they are sister ships. Supposedly Century-class ships have wireless --
I hate to know what they charge.

Needless to say, I won't be spending $350 to keep my laptop hooked up to a
bad internet connection for the length of the cruise (my laptop cost less
than twice that to buy!) I guess I'll have my mail forwarded to a webmail
site and check it in port.

By the way, who actually pays that much for internet access? I can
understand paying for a couple minutes on their terminals, but $25 a day?

I would imagine people who can chalk it up as a business expense.

I'll pay $10 a day at a hotel. But that's for real high speed, not
what you get on a ship.

I'm one of those who bought the $25 a day. 'Will never do it again. The
connection from our stateroom was terrible - sometime down to 12kb. Never
again - a real rip off.
