Default HELP!! With Casa De Campo!

Going here in a few weeks, I have seen very little on this port, the only tour
worth doing it looks like is the Bayahibe Beach Break going to Casa De Mar
Resort, has anyone done this? Let me know.
Thanks

I haven't done that tour, but my wife has family in La Romana and when we
visit we always go to Bayahibe Beach. It is one of my favorite beaches.
There is a little open hut restaurant right on the beach that serves great
seafood. We had grilled spiny lobsters for about $15 and the local beer
(Presidente) was $1.50 a bottle. And the view is wonderful!!

So if you like beaches, I would recommend it.

Thanks so much, can you tell me if we can take a taxi on our own to the beach?

I'm not sure what the taxi situation is from the pier, but it's about a
20-30 minute ride from La Romana to Bayahibe. So depending on how much the
excursion costs, you might want to go that way.

I know our ship (Millennium) offers this excursion but if we do it on our own
its probably cheaper, and then you can go and return when you want, versus on
their schedule.
