Hi Bob,
We had some luggage problems as well during disembarkation. We were the
first color (white) called off the ship. Getting off and clearing
immigration was no problem. The problem was getting our luggage! We waited
almost an hour. The same pieces just kept going around and around .... then
one showed up ..... and then the final pieces almost an hour later. It
pretty much defeated the purpose of getting off the ship early. We had an
11:10am flight and as it turned out we made it no problem. I was getting
concerned though. A simple PA announcement stating what the problem was
would have put everyone's mind at ease. Obviously something was going on
behind the scenes that we didn't know about, but we were all left in the
dark and people were understandably getting upset. Since these Voyager
Class ships disembark in Miami week after week, I'm not sure why they were
not more organized. The luggage carousel system at RCI's Miami pier has
been used since the day VOYAGER was introduced. In fact it was designed
specifically for these ships so it's nothing new. Other than that snafu,
things on the cruise were great.

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself as well.

Ernie

Tom,

I agree except that it is prohibted for both safety and litigation reasons.
Safety, weight and handling of luggage on escalator is a problem in those
areas. The addition of elevators that go up to parking deck would be a major
improvment though allowing for people to take luggage up to parking area.

Hi Ernie,

We also had White tags and an 11:15 flight.
We also made our flight without any problem but they need to get their
act together on this. I have already voiced my opinion to the powers
taht be at RCI.
