Once when we were in Cozumel a hurricane was heading toward Key West, our
next port after a day at sea.

We started sailing around the bottom of Cuba to avoid the storm (and miss
Key West), but by the next morning the hurricane hit Cuba and turned into a
lot of rain but no wind. We changed course back to our original route, and
made it to Key West anyway.

We came close to missing Key West, but didn't.
