Default ATLANTIS BEACH DAY - DAWN

Just got our tickets this week for the DAWN.
Noticed in the shore excursions that starting in June 2004 Atlantis
beach access will be available for NCL Dawn Passengers. The cost is $75
for adult, $62 for child.

Two weeks and 2 days to go.....

$274 for a family of four. WOW! What a bargain! There are public beaches
within easywalking (50 yrds) distance to the Atlantis.

Just to clarify, according to the excursion discription the price as
only for beach access. The pool's and water slide were off limits.
If you are not a guest of the Atlantis you can't use the facilities
without renting a (day) room. Which family memebers last november did.
It cost them $300 for the day. Not saying this is within everyone
budget...just sharing information.
Now what i don't understand is if you have access to the beach how
do you get back to the hotel without crossing a pool deck? I have never
been, but what is to stop anyone on a beach day pass from using any of
the pools?

We had friends who stayed at Atlantis.

That's about the charge for breakfast for 4 at Atlantis.

They said that NOTHING is cheap there.

They have security. I did it years ago when they did not care. A cruise
ship passenger would be easy to spot.

I think there was a Comfort Inn or something like that with beach
access to the same beach that people were renting a room at for less
than an Atlantis room.

The restaurants are pretty expensive. After our first trips there
when we tried 3 of the fancy restaurants, we now ate mostly at
Murray's Deli, Atlas Bar and Grill (in the casino) and the Lagoon Bar.
The buffets are $20 for breakfast and $40 for dinner.

The beach is a public beach...not sure now Atlantis can charge all
that money for access to a public area. I guess for the money you get
facilities, chairs, can order drinks, etc.

But for that amount, you should be able to check in for one night
(either at Atlantis or Comfort Suites) and get access to everything,
including the pools, beach, slides and the Dig I've gotten a room for
as low as $155. Check Expedia for May...5/3 is $248. They might
charge extra for more than two people (when we had three they were
supposed to charge and ended up not doing so). With tax, not a lot
more per person than you would pay for the excursion.

If you play at the casino, get the card. They offer great comps. Our
last two trips, our room was comped.
