Default the BOATYARD, Barbados

I was checking out "Boatyard" reviews on google and they were very mixed. Some
really liked it or others disliked it
Should I put it on my list of places to go to while on the island?
We're looking for a beach close by Bridgetown that is clean and might have some
amenities.
Thanks

The beach is clean and the bar is very nice. It could be very crowded when
cruise ships come in. We like going to the crane hotel's beach. we live in OC
NJ and like to experience waves at different places. We spent a day at the
Boatyard because our teeens wanted a lot of action. IMO, there is never a bad
beach. Have fun, Melissa

Hi Mark:

I didn't think the water.. nor the sand was particularly clean... in the
Caribbean terms of pristine. Good for New Jersey.. but the Caribbean... no.

They have lounge chairs, volley ball, bar, bathrooms... the rate is now
$12.00... and yes.. it can get wall-to-wall. We went late in the day (after 3
pm) so we only paid $5.00 per person.. but that did not include a drink. The
mudslides were $7.95!

The Jolly Roger docks here as well.

Babette

See what I mean about very mixed. Some

I tend to look for the best if it available and so because of Babbette's
review, I would tend to gravitate away.

***Any other suggestions for a nice, clean, even pristine beach, close to
Bridgetown?
