One of the best things he ever did, he says.

| | Guest | TOURS /ST MARTIN ? I've done the America's Cup three times. Great excursion. Especially when
there's a decent wind.

To Goober Mike, cruising is about how much he can drink and eat.
To the goob, visiting a foreign ports means getting drunk before coming
ashore and then getting on a booze cruise where he can drink some more.
(And he wonders why we call him a Goober!).
Well contrary to the goobs advice, there is more to do on St. Martin other
than drink

But get the heck back before the traffic starts. It's a nightmare.
Our car rental place warned us otherwise we wouldn't have known. I
think it starts around 2 or 3pm, I forget. Just ask if you do that.

For anyone thinking about doing the America's Cup they do give out crew
assignments for those who can't participate physically. For example
they had a clip board person, and a handing out sodas person. And the
physical assignments were shared so that some older people only did
something for a few minutes and younger folks did them longer. Been on
the Golden Eagle too and agree it is a very good excursion. Also St.
Martin is a great place for doing your own thing. A cab or van to
Orient Beach and /or Mairgot can make for a wonderfull day.

I believe they called the soda person the "Soda wench". They also had water
and beer. But Charles is correct. You do not have to do anything physical
unless you want to.
