Atlantis gives great comps if you get one of their casino cards.
My sister and I play nickel slots and three times in the last year, we
have gotten offers for 3 free nights in the Royal Towers (minimum cost
would be $245 per night depending on the season). We've taken
advantage of two of those offers. Sometimes I walk away ahead,
sometimes even, sometimes down a bit. But, I'm a nickel player and I
like to play a long time, so I don't play maximum coins. Sometimes, I
am at a machine for a hour or more on the same $20 before I decide to
cash out or the machine finally eats my money.
On our first trip, before we got our first comp offer, we called
casino services before we checked out and they took $250 off our $475
hotel bill.
The secret is this: Get two cards on the same account and if you have
two people, both play on the same card when playing slots. That way,
you build up your points twice as fast. Of course, the person whose
name is on the card will get the free offers, but if you always travel
together, what is the difference?
Playing at the casino on a cruiseship, unless it's Carnival, gets you
little credit or comps. I've heard you have to play really big money
to get any comps on a cruiseship.
