Default motorbiking through central america

We are planning to buy a motorbike in Mexico and drive through central america to South America. Does anybody know if this is feasable? Will we encounter any trouble at the border posts? Or is it preferable to go by car, or alternative rely on buses/trains?

Train is definitely the best way to go. Pick up the Aztec Express in Mexico
City and take it through Merida to Cancun. At Cancun you connect with the
Maya Flyer down through southern Quintana Roo to San Pedro in Belize, on to
Belize City and Belmopan. After an overnight in Belmopan the train
continues on through Guatemala and Nicazragua and terminates in Colon,
Panama.
