| | Guest | Love Cruising I'm pretty new to cruising, but love the last two times, just got back from
Sensation on Carnival. Now I'm getting their magazine. It looks like you
can get some pretty good deals though it. But what do you consider is a
good deal for a cruise? Most likely we will only do up to 7 days cruises. I
seem to like Carnival so I'll probably stay with them. Is it better to deal
with the cruise line to get good deals? Or is the internet the way to go?

| | Guest | Love Cruising Hi, Kim. Lots of us here are addicted to cruises; be warned it gets
worse over time!
You can almost always get better prices than the cruiselines offer. My
advice is to survey lots of web sites to find the best price, read up on
what people say about various agents and TAs, find a person or place
you're comfortable working with.
What makes for a good deal depends on lots of factors - the cruiseline,
the ship, the type of cabin, the time of year, and more. My husband and
I try to find balcony cabins for not much more than $100/pp/day but not
during popular holiday times or summer, and we seldom book very far in
advance.
You can learn a lot reading .cruises, but you need to read
enough posts to get a feel for which information is, uh, reliable!
